This Weekend

This weekend was pretty laid back. Saturday we went to get Jackson some new shoes and then Saturday night was girls' night with the neighbors, so Jackson stayed home with Daddy, Jeff, Ella, and Brody. Then Sunday, we went to brunch with Melanie, Jesse, and Olivia. Olivia was such a sweetie and tried to give Jackson kisses, but he played shy and wouldn't let her. One day he's going to regret that he didn't take full advantage of that! Here are some pics below.

The kiddos with Uncle Jesse...hehehehe.
Look at that pretty girl- what was Jackson thinking??

All week Jackson had been asking to go to Chuck E. Cheese. I guess he saw a commercial or something. So, Sunday afternoon, Paw-paw, Gigi, and Tata took Jackson to ChuckE. Cheese. I would love to post pictures, but Jackson's trip was short lived. Chuck E. Cheese himself was making his rounds and Jackson was scared to death of him! He started crying and grabbed a hold of Paw-paw's legs for dear life. He has been repeating "Chuck E. Cheese is gonna get me" all evening. I think we will wait a while before we attempt that again!

Just a few updates on what Jackson is doing these days: He talks non-stop. Seriously, non-stop. It seemed as if overnight he just started telling us everything. He sings every song he hears now (although he tends to skip a few words). He has his ABCs mastered and he counts to 10. He is obsessed with bumblebees. He has been at this for a while now, but he thinks that every bug is a bumblebee. If he sees a spider, I will tell him "Jackson that's a spider" and he tells me "No, Momma, that's a bumblebee". I try to correct him, but he is so certain that it's a bumblebee and it's so dang cute to hear his little voice say bumblebee that I just let it be. His latest demand is "Momma/Dada, hold me!"
The other night after we put him to sleep, Nathan went in his room to check on him and he was sitting in his bed reading a book. He told Nathan "Dada- I read book...close door". He is getting so independent!
I don't know how ready he is to be a big brother yet. He doesn't like to talk about the baby much and last week he gave my tummy one kiss and then quickly put my tummy away and said "Bye, bye baby". We read the Big Brother book several times a week, so hopefully he will be ready by the time Hudson gets here! The other day he pointed to Nathan's stomach and said "Momma- there's Dada's baby!" Hahaha!
